    Ignore updates?

Looking back I've spent many dozens of hours dealing with update problems over the years & now with the latest one failing I'm wondering: On a Windows 10 Home box, can I just ignore these blasted updates all together & get on with my life?

An option in the tutorial below may be able to help to disable automatic updates in Windows 10.

Yes but do not forget that updates include solutions for security vulnerabilities.

I inhibit updates by setting my network connections to metered so that I can make a new system image before any update in case it causes problems. Armed my with system image, I then update every month.
    - I have also cleared the 'Download over metered connections' item in Settings, Devices, Bluetooth & other devices and Settings, Devices, Printers & scanners.
    - The only update problem I have had was a lousy printer hardware update and the adjustment above will stop that happening again. I always check the hardware OEM for any hardware updates.
