hi, sorry if this has been asked i have windows 10 1903 sometimes not always thankfully if i do a manual check for windows updates i get a error message error encounted We ran into a problem while connecting to the Windows Update service. Specifically for 1903 build one user (Insider) reports this:

Resetting Windows update does not help.
An in-place upgrade repair install which keeps progs and data does.

That's assuming no server issues, no firewall problems, no DNS issues etc. And note you say sometimes- so that might suggest something outside your system, rather than a repair being necessary.
