What are the state of the files on the computer?
Had you backed up important files to another drive or to the cloud?
Had a backup image been made?
If you needed to could you perform a clean install?

Are you able to make a Windows 10 iso on a working computer?
Do you have flash drives that you can format (> or = 8 GB )
The laptop is brand new, so I pretty much have no files on the computer now apart from the ones that it came with (or so I think).

The only important files to me are the ones I was using before this which are all backed up via cloud services (lastpass, Drive, Evernote etc). I did not make a backup image before things broke.

Assuming that the laptop can boot up like new with the Win10 OS and all the essential files, I will be able to do a clean install.

Currently this (laptop) is my only working device other than my iPhone.

I have an 8 GB flashdrive.

Windows Powershell is opening for less than a second (bluescreen) before closing/crashing, similar to the DM Log Collector window.

For the DM_log_collector, I don't think you are using an Elevated Command Prompt. If you were, the prompt window would look like this:
I'm using an elevated command prompt. It looks like this black window without writing, but it is closes straight away.

With a new computer, no new important files that need backing up and backups of old files the most efficient and effective solution should be clean install.

Follow the txt and images in this link:
Clean Install Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
    Download Windows 10

The Windows 10 iso is created first and will format the flash drive before installing the iso.
So anything needed on the flash drive should be saved to another drive.

The computer is then powered on the applicable F key is clicked to boot to the bios boot menu.
List of PC brands with their corresponding hot-keys

On the bios boot menu the external USB HD is typically clicked.

It may take 5 - 10 minutes for the iso to load while viewing the Microsoft Windows icon.

Select language, time, currency, and keyboard or click next.

    Click install

Delete all partitions and make an unallocated drive.

Then install Windows 10 following the steps in the link.
Clean Install Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

After the operating system is installed perform windows updates.

Then install drivers from the MSI website:
Support For GV62 8RD | Laptops - The best gaming laptop provider | MSI Global

If there are any drivers that are needed that are not displayed on the MSI website then use the component manufacturer websites (Intel, Nvidia, AMD, Killer Networks, Realtek, etc)

Using driver update websites can lead to the installation of unknown files, bsod, and unexpected computer problems. These websites are not recommended except in unusual circumstances. Websites that modify drivers are also not recommended. The best tested drivers are from the MSI website.

After the operating system and drivers are installed perform windows updates to update the newly installed non-Microsoft drivers. Then install applications and files.

Using only one always on antivirus is recommended. The computer had Norton and that can be reinstalled or you can use Windows defender. Another antivirus software can be used manually such as Malwarebytes. Using multiple antivirus products that are always on simultaneously can cause software conflicts and weakness in the protection.

Making backup images is highly recommended and Macrium is used very frequently on Ten Forums.

The behavior of the log collectors was unusual.
When the computer is working to your satisfaction and there has been sufficient time to create log files you can post a beta log collector zip for evaluation of the computer environment.

Currently it is asking me to Format my USB Drive (E:) before I can use it again. There was no files on the USB when I started the installation.

I'm retrying the installation a second time now.

    To clean the flash drive:

Open administrative command prompt or administrative powershell and type:

    diskpart
    list disk
select disk # <- replace # with the disk number of the usb flash drive
clean <- this will erase the flash drive
    create part pri
    format fs=fat32 quick
    active
    exit
    exit

Done/cleaned, in the process of a re-installing Windows 10 installation media onto the USB.

Step 12 confuses me, but I will try my best. As long as I can get to Cortana I will be fine.

Update: Nvm, I think I understand. The goal is the get it to download to an unallocated space.

The computer was in UEFI mode.
This mode can provide more protection than legacy and is benchtest faster than legacy.
Delete all partitions > make an unallocated drive
    Then install windows

Okay, I see. So should be step 13 sorry.

I've successfully installed Windows 10 installation media onto my USB. Will continue the process and update once it's completed.

I went through the steps all the way up into my new desktop. Now it appears that I cannot connect to WiFi anymore, it's asking me to use an ethernet cable. I don't own an ethernet cable.

Went through a whole day of trouble shooting with MSI yesterday. They suggested I do a factory reset, it got stuck at 38%, after 2 hours of no progress on the factory reset they suggested I try again. Got stuck at 12%.

Now I'm sending it back for a replacement laptop.

All the same, thanks for the help troubleshooting.
