Windows 10: Insider build 14915 Can not update
Insider build 14915 Can not update
My problem is the following:
I'm running windows 10 insidier build 14915 and Windows Update can't see new windows update, only defender updates.
I already reseted Software Distribution and catroot2 folders.
The only update I've seen mentioned is to Build 14926 and may not yet be available to everyone in the Insider program, just as 14915 took awhile to get to those running 14905. Just requires a bit of patience.
Outside the Box
See Ed Tittel post.....Pointers to 14393 ISO.
But that 14393 is the RTM/Released version, my mention in response to Reazin was for the Insider Preview review he mentioned.
This is what I do in a similar situation - needs patience but always works.
Install standard windows 10 inside a vm (or as a dual boot option), and join Insider Program and join fast ring. After a couple of days, it will upgrade to 14926. Yo do not need to activate Windows 10.
Then copy the (hidden) install.esd to another drive, then use this to convert it to an iso.
ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File - Windows 10 Forums
Then boot to your Insider build 14915, double click on iso and run setup.exe.
This issue cropped up a LONG long time ago and there was a "fix" for it and I did use it which worked now,

Just got it updated while I was out fixing other folks' problems, got back and the computer wanted to restart. Now I get no text on the various screens during startup, just blank dialog boxes. Can't get any program icons on the Start menu, can't...

Haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, so I'll post it now.
In build 14915, Personalization ---> Colors displays for a second, then crashes. I've run into this on all of my Insider OS's, physical and VM. You may also have this issue.
