Always had Speccy get nuked by a win 10 build change. Guess I just got used to re-installing it! Never had any BSOD's, though. That's nothing compared to the current Chrome x64 minor debacle. The Mem Management change in 10525 causes Chrome x64 to crash and burn. They (Google) acknowledged it and have hustled to fix some code, which is out now on Canary. I put x86 Chrome on and works fine, a tad slower, but fine. I'll wait for the fix to hit stable before I re-install x64. It is, after all, "Hybrid-Beta" and bumps in the night are to be expected. Morning, all!
Speccy Version 1.29 (2015-12-04) is available:
Piriform - Speccy v1.29
I use the portable version as topgundcp described in post #7, i use multi-boot desktop's.
For me v 1.29 and earlier had no problems with the portable version when applying W10 updates.
I run/store all portable apps/programs on a separate drive/folder, so they are not on the "C" drive with W10, or any other OS.
