Thanks mate; I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the video drivers from the original CD that came with the video card, from online update and from windows update itself.

Not sure what else I can do
You're welcome, bordi. There's a way to log the install to find failure events: Windows Installer Logging (Windows)

If it turns out to be a driver, a working one can be inserted into the install media. Thing is finding a driver that'll work. Time consuming if you like to tinker around with this kind of thing.

I'm sure you know this, but just to be sure > Does it have the sign in at the top right?

Your account should be a choice given there. If so, what's the warning it gives upon failure?

Anyone having issues with the Map app? Forever not showing maps and this has been an issue for me going back a few builds?

    Same here.

For some apps problems, look at the first post:
    Known issues

If you are experiencing broken functionality in Mail, Cortana, Narrator or missing some features like Windows Media Player, please see this Feedback Hub post: Insider Hub - Windows Insider. While this issue has been addressed, if you ever upgraded from 16299.xx to 16299.15 (and then to newer builds) you may still need to take the steps to get your PC back into a good state.
Sadly, posted link just takes me to the same announcement..
