I took an rs3 install, and updated it to the Skip Ahead version using Kari's tut.
Then I took a non-Insider build 15063.541 image from my Surface Pro 3, put in on an SSD in my desktop, enrolled into the Insider Program - rebooted and was able to upgrade that to the Skip Ahead with Kari's tut - I learned 1 thing this evening - I really gotta get a life -![]()
Maybe this will explain your problem:
Important note about recent app updates for Fast and Slow rings Insider - Windows 10 Forums
I just checked and I was kicked off Skip ahead. Changed my level back to slow active. Changing the registry key did nothing - I was reverted at next check. I am able to change my Insider level to Fast Active but skip ahead no more. Did this happen to anybody else? Is there a workaround other than the registry edit (which reverts). I will reboot now to make sure I'm on the Fast track anyway. Why did Microsoft do this?
There is a trick - see post 622 in this thread.
