Thanks for the compliment, Copper, but the Announcement threads are generally a catchall for what is/is not happening with the current Build. If anyone had had an issue with your post, they would have told you where it should have gone. :)
Also, thanks for the solution; it's always good to follow up when one finds a solution to a problem. It gives those who have the same problem information on how to solve it.
So, thanks again for posting the solution.
I really think it's a case of being spoiled by so many relatively strong builds in the IP program. When one comes along with major bugs on their systems--showstoppers, even--I think it's easy for them to forget it's all beta software--We all get frustrated at some point, though, certainly. It's a healthy weeding out of the boys and girls from the men and women, so to speak...
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When one reports a major issue that has been occurring since the first RS3 build and nothing is done about it, this can irritate some users. My machine will not awake from sleep in any build past 15063. The same settings and even one clean install did nothing. So I report it every time it happens. What happens is that my machine will go to sleep but when I bring it out of sleep it restarts, BSOD's and then MS wants to know what happened. I told them every time plus used the Feedback Hub. So I may well be one of the members you speak of, but I keep going back thinking that just maybe it will be fixed in the next build, but it never is. Why Hibernation is now default is beyond me. I use an SSD and am not going to waste all of that space and it does not work either. I will go at least one more build but there comes a time when you are running against the wind.
I'm with you on this. I have created a list of "to do things" after each update and this is one of them.
I have been asking for a "Select All" option on Disk Cleanup since day 1. No luck so far. Now I see they have a new clean up under storage, so I'm guessing Disk Clean may soon fall by the way side.
Insider builds can be frustrating as all get out at times. I often think I'll just boot to the RTM drive and quit screwing around with the newer beta builds. This usually lasts about 15 minutes and I'm right back in the deep end of the pool again.
