Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 16215 PC + 15222 Mobile Insider

Thanks, Count, but I shy away from 3rd party apps. It'll be a sad day when we can't find a file using the search in FE no matter how long it takes. With magilla's post I'm thinking it doesn't exist for some of us. (I have FE set to show all hidden)
In searching the web I found People should be here:
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.People_8wekyb3d8bbwe
Most folders there are empty now. Looks as if MS has locked it out that way. In the "Settings" folder there is a roaming.lock file.
Likewise--if it ain't there, no magical program is going to find it.

Thanks for that confirmation. Did you get the same results with that address BTW?

I had similar issue with an earlier build. Stopping the service, then restarting it fixed it. Worth to try at least
Well, I rebooted. And that didn't change anything, i'd assume a service stop/start would not be any different. I've reverted to 16199 regardless.

Back to Wifi
my base driver is also the 5390.

In most every new Build, I usually make a habit of copying all the UWP App shortcuts from the shell:appsfolder and store them somewhere.
That way, if something goes awry in a new Build, you may have something to fall back on.
Example:
Some of these shortcuts, from a previous Build, look corrupt in this Build because of a drastic change or a glitch of some sort, but they still work.
So, I create another copy, paste it in the Start Menu folder, possibly rename it and give it a custom icon.

Stopping and restarting Hyper-V service quite often resolves connectivity issues.

Did you try F key (applicable to your machine) to get to boot options and manually select the boot manager?
My machine is set up without boot manager, I select a specific drive through BIOS set up.During the boot process neither boot mgr sees the other boot mgr, so no conflict there.

No way to go wired in this house, Walt.
We're completely wireless and here I sit with one router and a cable modem/router combo that I cannot use.
I'm rolled back to 16199, so I'll just have to wait until the issue gets fixed.
Is there is no way to plug an Ethernet cable into your router, or into your cable modem (you can also go directly from the modem into the router, wired), and from there directly into your computer? I realize it might mean moving the computer around some, but that would be only temporary. Every wireless modem and router I've ever used has also offered Ethernet connections. Oh, well, just a suggestion...but it is so annoying to have to wait for another build, eh? My teeth were on edge waiting for 16215 to fix some things in 16199--which it did--but I had my fingers crossed. Hopefully you won't have to wait more than a week, though...

Finally installed the new build. have to perform Windows update reset - Brink's tutorial
Somehow disappointed for now. I was looking forward to test new Edge features... Edge won't even start. Have to revert to FF (after long time with Edge in Insider).
