I think, they are so careful to say "life of the device" because they are looking at life cycle of all devices (phones, tablets, etc.). Their intention of Windows 10 SaaS - Software as a Service - where, after a certain point in time, they will charge, kind of like the O365 subscriptions. Just my thought, nothing concrete to base that on.
MS will have to come clean with conditions attached to various options soon, otherwise there will be backlash and outcry. It would have to be spelled clean as soon as they start selling windows.
Another mystery update, it's not labeled Security and can't find what it's about. Went thru without a hitch. Did anybody notice how fast defender updates are coming, maybe even 5 times a day ?
When right clicking network icon to change adapter settings not working anymore. The window opens but when trying to disable/enable adapters the screen just flashes and nothing happens. Have to go device manager to effect changes. Anybody else experiencing this? This happened after yesterdays updates.
