After a reboot, mines back now too Kari.
Macrium Reflect is The Application Everyone Should Use!!!
I've been asked several times why I recommend and use Macrium to deploy a clean, fresh Windows instead of using traditional image capture & deployment solutions, or a simple clean install (re: Windows 10 Image - Customize in Audit Mode with Sysprep).
The answer is simply that Macrium does excellent job in record time. I usually do not clean install; instead, I prepare Windows, customize and personalize it including installing software on a technician Hyper-V VM in Audit Mode before any user accounts have been created, sysprep and generalize it, capture Macrium image and then use that image to deploy (with Macrium) to all computers.
If I compare this to a clean install of Windows 10, the benefits are clear.
A typical scenario for comparison:
- I clean install Windows 10, that's 15 to 20 minutes before I am on desktop
- I install my software, 30 to 45 minutes (Office 365 Business Click-to-Run install alone takes 15 minutes)
- Desktop customizations, theme, making workspace / desktop to work for me, 5 to 10 minutes
- All together I need at least an hour before it's all done
- Repeat this on all machines
Alternative scenario:
- Do all above only once on a Hyper-V VM, when done capture a Macrium image. Adds 15 minutes to total time
- Boot other machines with Macrium boot media, restore the master image. Takes 15 minutes per machine to get a virgin, clean fresh Windows install without any pre-set user accounts with all pre-set customizations and pre-installed software, just awaiting to go through OOBE and be ready.
I simply see no point in installing similar Windows & software setup individually on several computers when all I have to do is do it once on a VM, and capture & restore a Macrium image. Instead of using that at least an hour per machine, I need 15 minutes. Time saving even on a two machine network is remarkable.
The best part: As I am a Windows Insider, I like to get new builds as soon as they have been released. No problems; I'll just mount my master Macrium image with previous build, my customizations and pre-installed software with viBoot, upgrade it, write a new master Macrium image and use it in my next clean install ( or rather deployment).
Are you still installing? Why not deploy?

Wouldn't say so Fafhrd. I have that message and i have Pro version activated with MS account.
Announcement says:
Under Settings > Update & security > Windows Update you might see the text “Some Settings are managed by your organization” even though your PC isn’t being managed by an organization. This is a bug caused by an updated flight configuration setting for Insider Preview builds and does not mean your PC is being managed by anyone.
A big size shrink (9%+ smaller) of this new build according to .iso file. Good job M$!
