In the hidden Windows ~WS folder on C: drive (whatever that folder name is, something close to that), when you run MCT and get to the point where you select which language and edition you want, you will find a products.xml file. Open that file with Wordpad and look at the folder names and file names listed in the xml file and you can determine what build it will download.
I would argue that after downloading the iso that the MCT downloads, to mount the iso and check the details tab on the setup.exe file inside the iso...
Can you tell what version is carried in MCT before you go through the install?
14393.0 is what she told me, but I believe that she's still in the process of installing it. I told her to run WU when she's done, since I believe that there is a cumulative update to follow.

You can argue if you want to, but if you want to know what you are going to get before you download a 4 GB file, it's the products.xml file that is going to tell you. The products.xml file tells MCT where to go and what file to fetch.

You may not get that Windows ~WS folder until you run MCT - but you do not have to start downloading.

Thanks for any tips on this.
I am downloading the update manually. Have others had the same issue with windows update not showing the update?
