I installed Preview Build 14279 on my physical computer (activated) and as a VM in Virtualbox 5.16 and VMware 11.1..3 (each not activated by enrolled in preview build program). No disturbing issues anywhere. If anybody is testing on VM's you can PM me.
And I've been fighting with Bit happens for the past several hours!
Clean install of Build 14279 and reinstalled O365, but grabbed 32 bit instead of 64 bit! Outlook would no longer run properly; I could read one message and the thing would hang. I almost went for another clean install, but at the last minute, I decided to uninstall 32 bit O365 and install O365 64 bit. Things seem to be OK for now, but I'm holding my breath and turning blue!
They do, Cliff, but I've been using O365 64 bit from the get-go. Since MS knows so much about our systems now, it could have been that I was set up to get 64 bit . . . or Firefox could have burped when downloading O365. Or Murphy could have had a hand in it.
I do know that if I'd had a third story window, this box would have been in danger of being thrown out it. :)
Wonder if this has anything to do with the problems? Because yes, MS recommend always installing 32-bit Office unless you have a specific need for 64-bit, because of incompatibilities.
How to revert to the previous version of Office 365 - CNET
I don't think so, Simrick. I've been using Office as 64 bit ever since I've been able to install Windows as 64 bit. Even before I subscribed to Office 365. It's just the way I work.
I've never had any problems before and now that I have O365 64 bit installed again, everything's right once more.
