Cliff.. Syntax errors(typos) are caught in the compilation process and don't cause bugs.) That's where the source code(English stuff) is turned into PC talk.
I had mentioned that because a short time ago there was an incorrect value set and it was a typo for an Anti Virus, and it caused problems, I just can't remember where I read it.

Problem is that computers don't have sense of humor or for fun, too literal I'd say !

There is an old programming axiom: "Any attempt to debug a program invariably introduces new bugs which are even harder to find".

So if a OS is buggy it shouldn't be debugged because it's going to create more bugs? If a piece of machinery is broke down it shouldn't be fixed because it going to be complicated to repair? I don't get it. In my opinion it would be easier(not easy) to fix any problems as they arise instead of letting them accumulate.

The problem with debugging is, One messpelling, one typo and Pffffft! It is hard, to find the typo, because our brain(not our eyes) sees what it expects to see, and not what is.
Did you notice I wrote mes-pelling instead of mis-spelling?

Syntax errors were not my point, they never make it off the coding desk! It's human error/logic I was referring to. There are a bazillion lines of code, and thousands of coders. The Law of Large Numbers just about guarantees there will be quirks.

"So if a OS is buggy it shouldn't be debugged because it's going to create more bugs?" I don't believe anyone said that.

Could it be that ones IQ is established by how easy it is to take on board new concepts?

According to a recent study, if a Ten Forums member and Windows 10 user gives up with Windows and switches to Mac, leaving our forums and joining the Mac Forums, the average IQ increases on both forums.

@Lee, you are of course an exception, increasing the average on both camps .

Lee.... IQ= Intelligence Quota, a measurement used by university boffins etc etc.
Kari is of course right in his opinion.

I'm pretty sure that Lee asked his question about IQ with "tongue in cheek" since he's smarter than your average bear.
