Up to you...

Ask your neighbour or a friend running WIN10. That's all I can offer now! Sorry and Good Luck:
I stop. It's too complicated to keep up with this thing, my memory isn't good and I risk forgetting that I'm in a "temporary" situation.
If anyone can find something official on how to do it let me know. Even deleting the registry key doesn't convince me at all. I ask others for clarification.
what do you mean, which winre should I use and which directory are you talking about?But make sure that you have an unspoiled winre.wim in your directory.

Could an on-place reinstallation solve the situation radically?
@einstein1969
Right now there is only the E:\... directory that contains the winre.wim.
And don't forget to delete the unused boot.sdi entry in your BCD.
bcdedit /delete {85979f54-af30-11ee-98e2-a8b13b70166d}
Inplace would not help because it is registered in your system without errors.
The Recovery Environment is an independent 2. Operating System!
But all that isn't worth it.
ok, yes I had already deleted the bcd entry before when you wrote it.
I can do a registry key deletion test but it seems like a waste of time. I should make a complete backup, do the deletion and verify that the update is rerun and the key is recreated an winre updated. But even so, I'm not sure that everything is ok. If necessary I can also do it but only out of curiosity. Eventually I would have to restore the backup.
I renew the question, can an on-place reinstallation help me?

No, I don't think. Your system is ok.
With the script https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...5-7fc406910c10
Uninstall the kb.
Copy paste the PatchWinREScript_2004plus.ps1 script into a text file with a .ps1 extension and put it on the desktop.
Download
2024-01 Dynamic Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034232) leave it in download directory.
right click on the script and select to run it in powershell
when the script asks for the path of the cab file, copy/paste the path including the cab file in the path, example C:\Users\<username>\download\windows10.0-kb5021043-x64_efa19d2d431c5e782a59daaf2d.cab
Double click on the cab file so that it is in the path of the explorer field, C:\Users\<username>\download\windows10.0-kb5021043-x64_efa19d2d431c5e782a59daaf2d.cab

@einstein1969
I looked on the computer for my WinREVersion registry key
You can edit its value 3920 to your value 3562 so you don't need to delete it after deleting kb5034441.
I was wondering is there any difference in using diskpart to shrink partition or volume, as the MS fix for the problem (and majority of the tutorials/videos) use disks, while MS document on managing and maintaining disks uses example with volumes. The final result should be the same but why redundancy?
@einstein1969
1. insert the new ISO-WinRE.wim to E:\Rec......
2. check the version:
Dism /Get-ImageInfo /ImageFile:\\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition5\Recovery\WindowsRE\winre.wim /index:1
3. replace the Reg-Key entry 3920 with the new one from step 2
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]
4. Reboot
5. Run Windows Update
6. Enjoy
