Still no offer on my desktop, while it showed on my laptop. Had a Gpedit policy to block Windows 11 offer, but I undid it and still no sign of 22H2 update.

Just did a check for updates today (October 23, 2022) on this computer and the 22H2 update was there. Downloaded and installed. Don't have a clue why it took so long on this one computer. My other 4 computers got the update the first day it was released, October 18, 2022. I have been checking daily for the update, I had checked earlier today and it was not there.
My fiancèe's 12 years old laptop was offered 22H2 via Windows Update and it installed fine and fast. Both my home (i7-5960x) and work (i7-7700k) PCs weren't offered so I used Media Creation Tool and did some sort of in-place-updgrade. Quite slow imho, 40 minutes to one hour on average.
Just for grins, I paused WU for 7 days and then unpaused after 24 hours. WU comes back stating the system is up to date with no offer of any updates. Tried "Check for Updates" multiple times with no downloads and still stating it was up to date. I'm still going to wait until December before forcing the issue.
Has anyone actually contacted MS about this issue of not being notified via WU of this update? I'm not sure where to aim such a request at MS.

Sorry, I don't know how to explain the lack of update offers -- as ALL my Win10 PCs got offered the 22H2 update today, ALL of them -- and that is quite a mix of machines and Windows versions, so nothing unique about any of them.
If the installation option is missing, the new version is still incompatible with your computer’s hardware configuration.
However, the seemingly trivial nature of this might seem to suggest there should be little by way of incompatibility issues. That said, two things apply: MS phases roll-out and may have some kind of prioritisation.
You also must not have set 'target feature update' - which can be set via the registry.
The above article covers other ways of getting it including MS's Update Assistant.

My last computer to update updated 5 days after the other 4 and I did not change any hardware. It would be nice it Microsoft would let us know what is going on but "I ain't gonna hold my breath".
