    @Maverik
    I always run Storage Sense after an update and it frequently finds 3 GB data that can be removed safely.

    You have to click on Temporary files first to find the Windows Update data and the real time purging may take up to 15 min. during which time your system will slow down drastically.

    @steve108 ...... I'm surprised you haven't posted this yet! The Startup Info is fixed in Win 10 Task Manager!

    Addresses an issue that fails to show the Startup impact values in Task Manager.

    Didn't see his post, was concentrating on looking for a cricket on the left! Well, it is finally fixed and you get it next PT. I guess now that Win 10 development is semi-nonexistent, the 10-team has time to read back thru 10 million feedback posts and make some to-do lists.

    Can any of you test disk performance and see if yours is degraded like this user posted?

    Are there any downsides to doing this?

    I just ran the check and have at least 4GB of data that can be removed.

    Thanks for the tip. I am partial to Cleanmgr+ because it has a variety of settings and can cleanup component store. Plus it's free. Cleanmgr+ 1.50.1300 | built by Bel ❤︎

    Hi @curlysir
    I have been running Storage Sense (manually) after each update for over one year and always deleted the temporary Windows Update files/data; never had issues updating, rolling back updates or got errors in Event Viewer. The only downside is that you cannot use your system for 10 minutes or so during the purging process as the response will be too slow.

    I went ahead and ran it and cleared the temp files. Did not know this feature was available until now.
