I tried upgrading my desktop one more time after applying a new bios version and updated drivers and it still fails in the same place. I'm going to do a clean install soon, maybe tomorrow, if time permits.
At what stage does it fail? One of the reboots?

Is your Windows 10 on Version 21H2?
That is the current Windows 11 Version.
If not, perhaps you could prove Version 21H2 on Windows 10 first so that you know that is not the problem.

    Best of luck,

" I'm going to do a clean install soon "...........it will fail again , if your PC after the improvements ( bios, drivers) , still does not pass the compatibility-check by M$ !

    Hi there
I really don't care what Ms is doing as to telemetry -- they wouldn't be able to understand most of my content - and for the rest it probably would bore them to tears. So long as the OS works properly and efficiently and security is reasonable (I'm not paranoid about mega security and there's not a lot in my Bank anyway !!!) then I'm quite happy with it.

Sometimes to improve products one does need real data from REAL users-- and I can't say I've been pestered with loads of advertisements. I use DuckDuckGo as search engine and Firefox as browser -- and I don't seem to be bombarded with things that I "Couldn't possibly do without". I find it infinitely more annoying though whenever you buy even a small thing on the Internet there's invariably an email that comes back wanting "Feedback -- or How did you find our service today". Set up a "Junk email address" and that gets over that problem.

I did have search bar problem - but got a WU today and that seems to have fixed it even though it was only a "Security update".

    Cheers

    Hi,
You people can have it in current state
Way too much to change atm

Grabbed some reg and bat files from Brink yesterday to make things a little faster but still not enough
Maybe this media creation tool will add a win-11 file instead of the dev or insider nonsense files

I got the update message saying my PC doesn't meet the requirements. It was just the TPM so I enabled it in my Aorus UEFI BIOS and windows said it is working OK when I ran tpm.msc
The odd thing is I stll have the same message in update saying it doesn't meet the requirements but after running MS health check it's saying all is OK to upgrade
I wasn't going to upgrade anytime soon but this looks like a bug to me!?

    Hi,
Think a lot of people will just disable the checks and be done with it
Bree stated just deleting this off 11 iso
    C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\appraiserres.dll
Will get rid of the checks then just mount the iso

    Yes, Bree's suggestion works. See
Upgrading with the Windows 11 RTM ISO on a well-below spec computer [my post #266] - ElevenForum
Note that, as explained in the link, the deletion is not from the ISO itself but from amongst the temporary working files that the upgrade creates.

    Hi,
Probably would be more helpful to actually show how and what you used to delete the file winrar/... ?
