Oh my freaking gosh why would they freakin do that?
How to get the Windows 10 May 2021 Update version 21H1UPDATE:
Windows 10 21H1 for desktop will be build 19043, confirming once again that it will be another cumulative style release that sits on top of version 2004. It won't be a full blown OS release.

It's basically what I call an old-school 'service pack', It's Windows 10 2004 SP2.
The thing is that MS is always changing the way things are done. Very difficult to keep track on everything, not only FU. The full-blown FU used to be on April or May and the Service Pack-like update in October or November of every year. Now, they have changed or, should I say, reversed the sequence.

Hi there

(and others of similar viewpoints).
Then for business users why don't they push out more the Windows Enterprise LTSC route. (Long Term Stability / servicing component) .
Businesses in general are much more concerned about stability than upgrading frequently loads of their networked computers whether people are using their own machines by Working from Home or using supplied computers.
Virtual desktop infrastructure and Windows Enterprise LTSC seems however you look at it a much better way to go -- let home users and developers mess around with these sorts of builds.

It's kinda wierd but my DELL went upto the 21h1 version but the windows 10 on my laptop stays at the other version but has a similer build number.
