Ok TC ...because MS is still offering the MediaCreationTool for 20H2 ....I just checked. It will make an iso which you can put on a usb stick. I still have the iso it made for me. I was just wondering ....guess I'm lucky as mine runs pretty well.

Mount your ISO and run this command. Sub the mounted drive letter for X. See what the build and service pack number is.

    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:x:\sources\install.wim /index:1

When you run the MCT it downloads a products.xml file that tells it where to find the components needed to build the ISO. You will find this in C:\$Windows.~WS\Sources as soon as the MCT displays the Licence agreement. Look at it before you exit the MCT as it will delete the contents of this folder when it tidies up on closing.

The current products.xml it uses is dated 10/10/2020 and is the same one it used at launch on 20th October. So the ISO it would build hasn't changed since launch.

go to the SOURCES dir first if needed. shouldn't have to.

    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:g:\sources\install.wim /index:1

MCT creates an ESD ISO. try this:

    dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:g:\sources\install.esd /index:1

Just to add to the conversation......

This is from UUP Dump. If I take it face value, 19042.572 can't be had publicly, and may have been pulled from their servers. Or, UUP Dump file is all messed up. I did DL the script 3 times, 3 different browsers.

Thoughts? Comments? None of the above?
