It disappears when you install "20H2".
I just installed 20H2 from the ISO and it's still there

If you don't like it, you can always try to disable "Allow apps to access your account info" by going to Settings > Privacy > Account info and finally toggle the button to "Off". Maybe you can always reboot after that and check what gives.

Thanks for the observation. If only it had been that simple. ;o(

I purposely set Onedrive to backup an empty 'Documents' folder just to get that Yelling "!" eyesore off my back and while logged in or not there's still no picture.

Like you, I considered the possibly it was an intentional form of visual punishment for insisting to remain on a 'Local Account'. Sadly however these two outliers with Local Account pictures has thrown serious cold water on that theory.

    Redesigned Settings Page?

No OneDrive Backup logged in or not.

If Windows insists on using the default account picture, perhaps the workaround is to manually change the default account picture.

That is what I did about a week ago and right after that only my name and email address were not showing. Now, for some unknown reason (MS only knows), I am not having the banner at all, nothing, nada, zilch — see my post # 152.

    Hello, Count:
I've try three times (via assistant update) to install 20H2, but it failed. Do you how to eliminate /uninstall the leftover (30Gb) from my SSD main drive? Thanks in advance.

Did you try Open and Use Disk Cleanup in Windows 10 already?

Worth noting while I'm here on this thread, after a clean install of 20H2, Cortana now shows up in CCleaner's Uninstall list.

Having taken the opportunity, while I still can check 'Show' the Cortana button on the Task Bar, clicking on it now does nothing.

Otherwise I'm not seeing any negative repercussions so far.
