    Is anyone here using 'DNS-over-HTTPS'?

    I haven't downloaded this version yet (updates paused), but this feature looks interesting. How is it different from using a VPN? I presumer I could use it instead of my ISP's DNS (which 'maybe' encrypted?? (Plusnet)) - say using Google's DNS.

    Sorry I know this maybe off this thread, but it will help me decide to try this update or not.

    DNS over HTTPS just encrypts the DNS translation request it doesn't hide your IP address.
