    Driver titles on Windows Update are changing in Windows 10

    This week we'll roll out changes in HDC that modify how titles for drivers are constructed. We've received a lot of feedback from partners, and customers that the date, and timestamp traditionally included is causing some confusion.

    Before titles appeared as below:


    Once the change goes live, users will see:


    There is no action that driver submitters, and publishers need to take. This change only modifies how we construct the titles for drivers published to Windows Update. The description of the driver that is published to Windows Update will still contain the date, and timestamp.

    Drivers that have already been published to Windows Update will continue to display the older style title. Anything published after the change goes live, will have the new style title.

    I think the change is fine. Looks less confusing to me.
