Excited to finally share the newly redesigned filetype icons for Office! They're simpler, a little cuter, and now available in Outlook for iOS (Android - soon!), OneDrive, and more.
Is there a way to get the old icons back? My better two-thirds doesn't like the new ones.
I've tried a few of the usual 'change icon' approaches, but haven't found a way.
There is a way to change file type like txt, docx etc icon in windows registry. (windows registry edit can break your windows install so you need to know what are you're doing, and have backups).
Also even after change there is no way to guarantee that office update wont change it back.
