Question : What if I do NOT click the "Download and Install Now" link?
Will it install automatically anyway after a "grace period" ?

Yes - eventually, but not after a 'grace period'. It will only install automatically within a month or so of 'End of Service' for your version. For 1803 that's November 2019, while 1809 goes on until May 2020.

Yes, but Microsoft have said "several months"; and for 1803 potentially starting upgrades to 1903 next week, which would be five months ahead of EoS:

Windows 10 April 2018 Update approaching end of service
For Windows 10 devices that are at, or within several months of reaching, end of service, Windows Update will automatically initiate a feature update; keeping those devices supported and receiving the monthly updates that are critical to device security and ecosystem health. The Windows 10 April 2018 Update (Windows 10, version 1803) will reach end of service on November 12, 2019 for Home and Pro editions. Starting this June, we will begin updating devices running the April 2018 Update, and earlier versions of Windows 10, to ensure we can continue to service these devices and provide the latest updates, security updates and improvements. We are starting this machine learning (ML)-based rollout process several months in advance of the end of service date to provide adequate time for a smooth update process.

I just noticed that the latest update for 1803 (which introduces "Download and install now") says late June. So not next week, but still four months earlier than anticipated:

The Windows 10 April 2018 Update will reach end of service on November 12, 2019 for Home and Pro editions. We will begin updating devices running the April 2018 Update and earlier versions of Windows 10 in late June 2019 to help ensure that we keep these devices in a serviced, secure state.

About 4 hours ago, I used the iso file downloaded from MCT to install ver 1903. It was successful.
I found something my Win 10 Home never had before...…. I now have the Pause Updates option.

Windows 10 Home Will Finally Let You Pause Updates

Windows 10 Home Will Finally Let You Pause Updates

Windows 10 Home users will be able to pause updates up to 35 days in version 1903 (not only for 7 days as some media had reported), the same number of days as in the Pro version

    Hello everyone!

So today i decided to try out the new 1903 May Update, and noticed something weird.
In audio options (in the Spatial Sound tab) i cannot find the option to turn on/off the 7.1 virtual surround. This is a crucial option for me, because i use Windows Sonic with Nahimic and i like the way it sounds (to my ears of course).
I tried to search in Definitions app, but i cannot find this option anywhere! And everytime i select the "Windows Sonic", it simply activates the 7.1 option, and deactivates Nahimic effects :/

Does anyone noticed this option missing, or it's simply somewhere else and i didn't noticed?

Thanks for any kind of help that you guys may give me.

    I'm using a MSI GS73VR-7RF laptop with Windows 10 x64 1903 Build 18362.116

    Cheers

What happened to the familiar standard Windows 10 theme?
New standard theme has little contrast.
