Here is an excerpt from Askvg.com:
    SUMMARY:
Microsoft has found out the reason behind automatic file deletion bug in Windows 10 October 2018 feature update (version 1809). The company has fixed the issue and re-released the new feature update to Windows Insiders group for testing and feedback. In coming days, Microsoft will re-release the new updated feature update to public.

Has anyone running 1809 come across these errors (shown below). As a user I'm not aware of any issues and Edge performs faultlessly. The timestamps all seem to relate to when I first open Edge following either a normal start or a restart. There only seems to be one error per session while the PC is on. Opening and closing Edge does not generate the fault report.

    Running 1809 build 17763.1

I was curious if anyone either had this error or had it and found the CU fixed it.

Rest assured, the very moment it (the fix) is available to the general public, it will be posted here. I guarantee it.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around OneDrive and moving Docs, Pics etc - what has that to do with replacing system files?

I know many members (specifically the "Gurus") in this forum knew already about the KFR (known folder redirection) issue, but the point was to show that the re-release of 1809 to the general public has not occurred yet. I am the first one waiting for it, since yesterday I couldn't do a repair install (In-place upgrade) while having problem installing the latest CU KB4464330. The .iso file that I burned from the MCT to a DVD wouldn't let me keep my files and apps. It said that with this version I could only do a clean install.

Just a question.... when you say "burned", do you mean as in making a bootable DVD? Or just copied the ISO to the DVD?

PS: If you already installed/upgraded Windows 10 October 2018 feature update in your machine when it was initially released on October 2nd, 2018, you should immediately check for new updates on Windows Update. Microsoft has released a new update "KB4464330" for October 2018 update which fixes the automatic file deletion bug.
From your link. Now if in fact the CU fixed this problem, why did MS send it back to the Insider Group?
