I thinks it is really worth reading the whole article
I'm still trying to wrap my head around OneDrive and moving Docs, Pics etc - what has that to do with replacing system files?
I know many members (specifically the "Gurus") in this forum knew already about the KFR (known folder redirection) issue, but the point was to show that the re-release of 1809 to the general public has not occurred yet. I am the first one waiting for it, since yesterday I couldn't do a repair install (In-place upgrade) while having problem installing the latest CU KB4464330. The .iso file that I burned from the MCT to a DVD wouldn't let me keep my files and apps. It said that with this version I could only do a clean install.
From your link. Now if in fact the CU fixed this problem, why did MS send it back to the Insider Group?PS: If you already installed/upgraded Windows 10 October 2018 feature update in your machine when it was initially released on October 2nd, 2018, you should immediately check for new updates on Windows Update. Microsoft has released a new update "KB4464330" for October 2018 update which fixes the automatic file deletion bug.
