May be they are waiting for any possible feedback from the Slow Ringers. Should have all they need for an ISO, but MS is MS.
They have probably not read @Kari's uuptoiso tutorial :-D.

… add to known bugs, after three restarts, still hasn't updated the build number...

You running Slow Ring? And it's not showing 17738? What does it show? Post your WINVER......

...Home still on 17713... continues to say Restart Now in Update... shows 17738 in update history, but not in winver... Pro updated without problems.

Yep that's a bug. I had the same issue on 17713. Just clean install 17738, it's the easiest.

This build is now the "official" build available from the Insider site (advanced download). So you can install every version of Windows 10, including Windows 10 for Workstations. Has anybody installed this on a "read" hard drive. I'm trying in a VM but doubt if it will complete. And I really don't care.

I was wrong. Here is Windows 10 for Workstations running on a VMware VM. The only thing left is to enable Hyper-V which I'm pretty sure is doable - I did it in a Windows Server 2008 VM many years ago. I never thought when I joined the Insider program that it would lead to the banishment of Windows from my hard drive. But keep in mind that Windows 10 is the end of the line for M$ desktop OS's. I suggest using Windows Server 2019. Sleep tight my fellow mushrooms.
