done / no issue
The lack of a user would explain why it ran the 'first sign-in animation' - and why 'It's taking a bit longer than expected....'
Great news @Farvatten, you can never have enough backups. :)Macrium Reflect - again my hero.
I'm concerned as to what may have corrupted the registry, it seems unlikely that this update would have done that. My first step would be chkdisk /f /r but that's really a conversation for a thread of its own.
3 completed via Windows Update, 4 more to go. Better than the last ones which had to be done manually via the msu download.
3 of the 4 say "Up to Date", doing it manually.
The only noticeable pattern is it appears that the oldest computers (more than 9 years) have to be done manually.

This one already superceded by KB4090914, must have been a bug. KB4090913 probably incorporates KB4090914 by now.
KB4090914 Servicing stack update for Windows 10 v1709 - Mar. 5 - Windows 10 Forums
KB4090913 installed and running fine. One strange think that happened was my Edge browser setting changed to not allow any cookies, but I was able to manually change that.
One question I do have is from KB4058258 that originally was stuck in "needs a restart" , today I looked and it's showing "failed to install" Do I need to concern myself with that or does the newer Cumulative updates supersede this ?
DISM Cleanup works again but is still broken somewhat ...

Settings>update download got stalled so tried to use stand alone update and it failed to install so went back to settings and tried that one again and it installed and so far I still have keyboard....yippee. Lets hope it stays this way.
Mine did that too. Went to 60% and stalled. While I was trying to download/install the stand alone update the auto update fell back to 34% and when the stand alone failed to install - the automatic update went back to 60% and FINALLY finished. When I restarted it, the process completely relatively quickly but message box popped up that Personalized settings were not responding. I thought "RUT ROH". I wanted so badly to turn it off but instead I left the room for a few minutes
and when I came back it was booting properly.
