Thanks for that....for the last 3 insider builds, my insider SSD will restart without issue until the next day then nothing. Yesterday, swapped SSD out for the insider and when wife called me for supper, put it to sleep. Afterwards, dead, nothing. I know I can do a restore from reflect and it will work, at least for a day. Once I get it up and running will look at the fast startup.

As an experiment this time with the restore, I think I will try restoring just the recovery partition??

On my FCU edition, same computer, same drive slot etc. I had the fast start on/off without any noticeable issues?
Tried rebuild (restore) of the recovery partition, did not work :-(. Restored whole drive and then it booted. Checked settings and Fast start was checked. Unchecked and will wait until tomorrow and see

But, did the turning off of fast start solve your problem @Wynona? That's what I'd like to know.
Yes, it did. That's why I was so excited.

Fellow geeks on any 17xxx build using subscription based Click-to-Run installed Office 2016 (O365 Personal / Home / Business / Enterprise), I would be very pleased if you would tell about what you see when running the following command in elevated Command Prompt:

    cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus

In case you are running 64 bit Office, the command is:

    cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus

Screenshot shows what you should see, one licensed Office installation:

I've lately had a lot of issues with Office, it remains activated only five days then deactivating itself and giving continuous account errors when connecting to services like OneDrive, above command showing two SKUs / installations, one as in above "Everything OK!" screenshot (yellow highlight) and then another unlicensed "Grace Edition" with 5 day grace period (blue highlight):

    Attachment 177299

I am trying to get to the bottom of this weird issue, would appreciate any feedback from you guys. I suspect underlying issue has something to do with Windows Insider Preview builds, and probably also with the way I prepare my custom W10 deployment images.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kari
    Kari, I'm running O365 2016 64 bit, but your command wouldn't work.

Yes, I did, Andre. I cut and pasted Kari's command.

Edit: I just tried it in PowerShell and it still won't work.

Three hours + to desktop. Themes still crashes Settings app. Problems with Edge and extensions. Need to turn on both extensions every time on opening Edge.

Good progress. Maps work well in Bing via Edge (when it works as supposed to) but the Map app just shows a blank screen. No reply from hub yet again.
    G -maps works perfectly.

What did you copy and paste as a command?

    @meebers and @magilla

Hey! Magilla! I found the solution!

Turn off Fast Startup and it boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 Windows 10 Tutorials
I have had Fast Start cause so many issues on my Desktop that it is one of the first things I turn off after a new build.

I run with hibernate disabled on SSDs and ordinary HDDs. Can't say much difference in booting times or shutdown times that would make a severe difference in time that you could make a coffee on sign-in.
