No, they were installed in " I don't have a product key", i.e. reduced functionality, mode.
I did not keep those VMs, and I no longer have the .iso files.
I would like to try with a 1909.iso file, then with a 2004.iso file. Anyone know where available for download?

Several way to download old versions direct from Microsoft. The Heidoc tool will generate links for the ISOs.

Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool

Option Six in this tutorial describes its use: Download Windows 10 ISO File

Or you can download and run any of the previous versions of Microsoft's Media Creation Tool with this batch file from GitHub.

Universal MediaCreationTool wrapper for all MCT Windows 10 versions from 1507 to 21H1 with business (Enterprise) edition support . GitHub

Perfect, thank you. I have the Heidoc tool running; one step is language selection, list includes English and English International. I do not know which of them is the language of host's OS. I think that it does not matter, but I would like to be certain instead of wasting time in downloading a wrong file.

    Hi there
You can choose a whole slew of editions from UUPDUMP -- select the edition you want and run the cmd file -- it will create the iso of the edition you want.

    1909 proceeded with installation.
I quit it, now am downloading 2004, also via Heidoc.
I will keep the UUDP information for next time, thanks for it too.

'English' is the US English version, 'English International' is for the UK English version. Doesn't matter which you use in the VM, it doesn't have to be the same as the Host OS. Only problem you may hit is that you may need to add an extra keyboard in the VM to match the keyboard of the Host machine.

    2004 proceeded with installation.
Now 20H2 is proceeding. Maybe it did not want to be bettered by its little brothers.

No changes, not even restarting Windows, since above-reported failure (multiple times).
