New Microsoft account created, now forced to login

I posted here about my difficulties with Yahoo mail accounts. It wss also my MIcrosoft account login.

    Can't login to Yahoo

I decided to created a new MIcrosoft account. That was several days ago. I don't remember if I rebooted the system until yesterday, but when I did, it asked for the password. I've never had a password requirement before, and my settings reflect that fact, unless creating the account did so without my confirmation

I was able to login to Windows.

This verifies there should be no password requirement

    But I'm still getting this

is there a way to undo this in the account or elsewhere? I'm not exactly sure they mean by "Passwordless" account

You set up a password when you created your MSAccount.
I can't make out from what you wrote whether you realise that or not.

If your references to "password requirement" just mean that you wanted to set things up so you log straight in without having to bother entering a password then it looks to me like you entered the wrong username or password when you set up NetPlWiz.
Go back to NetPlWiz, undo the setting, reboot, set NetPlWiz up again with the correct username & password.

    All the best,

This is my timeline. For as yet unexplained reasons, I had, still have, a situation where I cannot login/access Yahoo on my PC although I can still do so with my mobile devices

Because I now can't rely on Yahoo for anything, I had to create a new Microsoft account, with a password, of course. A complicated, security conscious password.

I didn't expect the subsequent Windows password prompt. I had to get into windows to undo that, but to do so, I needed to reset the password temporarily to something simple, to avoid that tortuous exercise at "blind" password entry with that intricate password every time, until I got things straightened out.

I haven't altered NetPlWiz in any way. It now displays the current/new account name/email, just as it does here

I'm still not sure about the gist of this tutorial. I don't want Windows Hello, or a Pin, or a Password. I just want to go back to booting up straight to Windows.

Enable or Disable Passwordless Sign-in for Microsoft Accounts

Just delete it? What will happen after I reboot

    Go to NetPlWiz.
    Set that checkbox.
Get out of NetPlWiz then restart the computer and log in manually.
    Go to NetPlWiz.
Set it up to log you in automatically as explained in Sign in User Account Automatically - TenForumsTutorials

You will not need to use that other tutorial [Enable or Disable Passwordless Sign-in for Microsoft Accounts] because your earlier diagram showed that the NetPlWiz checkbox was already visible.
    - That other tutorial is for people whose NetPlWiz has hidden the checkbox.
    - I've had to use that other tutorial [Option 2, the .Reg file] at least once to get the NetPlWiz checkbox to appear.

    question

    question
what caused whatever problem you had
    sounds overly complicated

did you add having to enter a password on login (to windows) or what added that
is that logging in using a microsoft acc or no

It sounds like the OP created a new user account and wanted that to be the one signed in automatically but, it seemed, to me, the OP had made a mistake when setting a password in NetPlWiz yet did not originally recognise that from the symptoms.
Post #1 showed that there was only a single user account but the second to last diagram showed two apparent user accounts. This is a symptom of a mistake having been made in NetPlWiz.
The OP then cleared & re-did the NetPlWiz setup [post #6] and the problem was fixed.

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]
