setting the time to choose account to log on

    Hi there,
My first post here so let me say cheers to the community. I am Peter from Poland.

I have two accounts: one user account without password, and second administrator secured with PIN.
I would like to set the time to choose which account I want to log on and when the time passes without choice system logs on to user account automatically.
We have such choice having two installed Win systems on PC.
Is it possible to set Win11 logon this way or using some external program?

    Peter,

There's nothing built-in to achieve what you want in either Windows 10 or Windows 11 so you'd have to search for some external program to do it for you.

I write passwords down somewhere secure yet accessible even if I'm using a PIN. There have been some circumstances in which Windows reverted to demanding a password; MS have corrected some of these but I don't know if all have been done.

    Welcome to TenForums.

It's really worth making time to browse through the Tutorial index - there's a shortcut to it at the top of every page.
    - At the foot of the Tutorial index is a shortcut to download it as a spreadsheet.
    - I download a new copy each month.
    - By downloading it as a spreadsheet I can benefit from Excel's excellent filtering capabilities when I search for topics of interest.
    - Tutorials are also listed by category at Tutorials - there's also a shortcut to that at the top of every page.
    - Both tutorial lists are searchable.
    - You can also search for TenForumsTutorials in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com/tutorials after your search term. For example,
    taskbar toolbars site:tenforums.com/tutorials

You can search TenForums using the search box in the top-right corner of all TenForums webpages or using Advanced Search - TenForums
    - You can also search TenForums threads in many general search engines, such as Google, by adding site:tenforums.com after your search term. For example,
Search for drivers by HardwareID site:tenforums.com
    - [This is what the search box in the top-right corner of TenForums webpages does automatically]

    Thanks Denis.
I wrote the post and then noticed eleven forum but I did not want to make it double. I suppose If I do not find answer here I will do not find answer there.

    Piotr,

You haven't said why you want to do this.
Is it so you can do a particular job that needs Admin permission but you don't want to divulge the Admin password to the standard user?
It's possible to set that up using Task scheduler. There is a tutorial on the subject - Elevated Shortcut without UAC - TenForumsTutorials

I do some crypto mining na my PC. My work is often in remote locations so I am away from home. When I am away if the computer crashes it will automatically log on and execute a script. When I am home it would be nice to have choice instead of logging out and then log in to my main account. Just to save 5-10 seconds. This is not the matter of life and death. Hope I clarified it to you.

    Cheers,
    Piotr

    Piotr,

Just an idea but what if you set up your Admin account in netplwiz to log in automatically every time.
Then if you wanted to log in to the standard account you could just log out - log in using the Start menu user icon.
Sign in User Account Automatically - TenForumsTutorials
and you might need to use this as well [it's explained in the first link]
Enable or Disable Passwordless Sign-in - TenForumsTutorials

You could easily set up a restart command in Task scheduler in those circumstances to achieve what you want.

I suppose the additional question is, why do you have the standard account? What is it used for?

I have some things which I do not want to have access to other persons including my kids. Sometimes they want to install games, malware and different things they are not aware of like kids do. That is why I do not to mine mine on my account with administrative privileges when I am away.
