    Microsoft account

    Good Evening,

I have made a massive mistake to make matters worse I have made it a lot worse.

basically I was asked to create a pin which I did thinking that it was just for signing in for certain programs, Only to find That I Have to enter it every time I start the laptop, but now it's booting straight into the administrator which I disabled but does not effect it at all. so if anybody can tell me how to disable the Microsoft account password/pin and be able to boot straight into my user account that would be great. please excuse the long winded account. ( very desperate)

    Hello Sam,

You could use option 1 in the tutorial below to set up netplwiz to automatically sign in to your account at startup.

Hi, from the Tutorial section (do have a look there - mostly by hard-working Brink ) - well worth being familiar with/aware of it) here's one part of what you've asked:
Remove PIN from your Account in Windows 10

Note: more on PINs in the list of tutorials following the main text

    Hi NavyLCDR & Brink,

Thanks for your help. sorry I had a look at the removal of the pin, only to find that I don't have that option, I have to enter my Microsoft account password every time I switch on the laptop, I want to go back to turning on the laptop and it boots straight into windows. Thanks for all the help guys

    Hi dalchina,

I have tried option 1 using netplwiz logging in to the administrator but cannot highlight my local account only the admin? so unable to change the auto bootup straight into windows, at the moment it boots straight into the screen where I have the option of selecting either admin or my local account?

any help as to what I am doing wrong? would be greatly appreciated, Thanks to everyone who has tried to help.

Perhaps you need to use Option 2 to disable automatic sign in?

Here is what I get , I can highlight when I select the advanced tab but no option to alter , please see pictures

in the use account picture you will see that the admin is selected, but cannot select any of the others, unless I click the advanced which I then can select any of the users but not options to alter?

Option 2 is about using the Registry Editor.

Your screenshots don't show that. This:
