I accidentally deleted my user folder

    I accidentally deleted my user folder


    im using win10 and i was trying to change my user folder name, and to move it in to my administrator account (no idea why i did that) , but it didnt finished the transfer of the files, and when i tried to connect to my user , it was all empty , now i only have the empty folder in my administrator account , can someone help me how to restore the lost files ?

    How did you tried to move user profile folder to administrator user account?

    Have you checked the folder you have moved user profile folder?

    as administrator ive moved the folder from c:\users\''my user'' to c:\users\administrator,
    but as i said the transfer didnt complete and i lost my files

    If the System Restore enabled and have restore points you can use ShadowExplorer utility to explore restore points for your files.

    when i restore the files from shadowexplorer , it wont open jpeg photos for example ,
    what can it be ? , should i try another software ?

    Problems with restored data


    hey everyone , i recently Accidentally deleted my user folder by mistake, i tried to restore my files with shadow explorer but when i try to open JPEG file, i get this error: "we can't open this file" , or an distorted image
    can someone explain me what to do that the files will open as they used to?

    The image files could be damaged have you check all restore points for the image files.

    I think you are right , if you mean by Properties > Previous versions then there is nothing there , and ive tried also the restore points from Shadow explorer itself
