"For verification, was ALL of that done on your work laptop including "Then it bring me to my Microsoft account"
Yes it was done on the work laptop"

Does that mean you can fully use your Microsoft account on you work laptop?

BTW, I spent yesterday testing some Microsoft account settings, recovery etc. w/o going through the full extreme such as you have been doing. Everything went well for me and at the end, I had to verify my Microsoft account and that finished up fine. I had a system image backup ready in case I would have needed it.

Anyway I cannot determine a reasonable explanation of why you are having the problems on your ASUS laptop. It appears to me that a clean install is the way to go but create a new Microsoft account using outlook.com instead of Hotmail. It's just of preference of mine: if someone says it doesn't matter, then it doesn't matter.

I wish I had more experience for recovering your Microsoft account password but I guess doing a clean install should be done.
Since you can use your Microsoft account on your work laptop, I was hoping you should be able to get into your Microsoft account on your ASUS laptop but it is what it is.

Before getting into doing a clean install, please fill out your system specs.
Along with that provide the link for the manual for your make/model: most of the time I like the applicable manual to be available.
How old is the laptop? Was the original OS Windows 10?

I still don’t understand why your Microsoft account works on your work laptop but not on your ASUS laptop.

In your opening post, you mention
"When I click on the internet, it is not connected to the internet, only showing airplane mode. I have tried to connect directly from the router to the PC using an ethernet connection with no luck."
--- I’m not familiar with using airplane mode: however, since you cannot log-in and get into settings to turn-off airplane mode let’s check a couple of ideas.

When you left-click on the Internet icon, do you see a list of available connections or only Airplane Mode?
--- At the log-in screen, my laptop below the list it shows
Getting error message: The password is incorrect, Try again-wi-fi-airplane-mode.png

If that’s the case, select your Wi-Fi network.

Another idea is to push the wi-fi button on your laptop before booting up or at your log-in screen.
--- Wait a couple of minutes to ensure you wi-fi stays connected.

You could see if there’s a computer club in your area who could help you on that. Maybe your work laptop on which your Microsoft account works needs to be linked to your ASUS laptop.

OK, on the manual, it’s for Windows 8: when you bought the laptop, was it on Windows 8?

Wen i got the laptop it was WIN 10, i have looked online and couldn't find a manual with win 10, all are with win 8 for this specific Asus laptop .

I think our only option left is to do a clean install like you'e sugested.

    Thank you

"I think our only option left is to do a clean install like you'e suggested"

I believe that's the direction to go by but there are reasons some questions come up that need to be known about.
You cannot log-in to your account and the reason I'm asking is if your laptop was originally Win 8 or 10 is very important.
I suspected it was Windows 10 Home but I cannot assume that: fortunately it is.

I haven't serviced an ASUS PC. I'll have to look at the manual on how to do factory reset.
--- I'm not sure if it will work for you as another thing I can't assume is if your recovery partition is intact because we can't find that out.
--- With a factory reset, your laptop will return to the condition when it was brand new for you with your drivers intact providing it will allow you to get around your password issue.

If that doesn't work out, a clean install will be considered but you will need to create bootable install media yourself on another PC.
--- And getting around the request for your password might still come into play.

I've have restored some PC's in which it was necessary to get around a password issue but I'm not in the business where I know when it's possible to do so vs. when it's not possible to do so.

So I'll go through the manual and let you know what I found out

I'm going to send you a couple of options in a while.
On a clean install, when it asks you for the product key, click on I don't have a product key or whatever it says.
When install is completed, the system should automatically activate since Microsoft stores that information on their servers.
Sometimes someone does end up with a problem but contacting Microsoft takes care of that if you need to do that.

I know you are not able to log-in to your laptop but I believe you can get to the login screen where it doesn't accept your password.

Before you begin, if it was me, I'd contact ASUS and see if they have specific instructions for your Windows 10 laptop in their FAQ or KB section and ensure it won't factory reset to Windows 8. Have your purchasing paperwork ready as they will most likely want to know your order number at a minimum. I know I'm being over cautious but that's me.

Although these instructions are not from ASUS, I'd try it if ASUS doesn't provide what you need to know.
How to Factory Reset Asus Laptop Windows 10 without Password
How to Reset Asus Laptop to Factory Settings without Password Windows 10
    It opens up with
"I recently bought a used Asus Windows 10 laptop on craigslist and it came with the old guys' details.
I need to factory reset it but I don't have the password. I've tried to contact him but he won't respond.
So my problems are: I don't have the password.
I can't do a factory reset from logging in because I don't have the password"
--- To me that means there is a password but its unknown.
Use Option 2: Factory reset Asus Windows 10 laptop without logging in
If you can't log in to Windows 10 as you don't have the password, you can factory reset the Asus laptop without logging in.
NOTE: You do not have to create a bootable flash drive for this procedure: I just hope it works for you as it claims it will.

Following are 2 excellent Windows 10 forum tutorials as they have step-by-step instructions:
--- If you decide to go with either one of them, use a another PC to do them.
--- If this is your first time, take the time to follow-through on their instructions.
--- If you have a friend who can you can work together with that might be a good idea.

Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
Use option one: Use Media Creation Tool to create Bootable Windows 10 USB for Legacy BIOS and UEFI unless you want to go deeper on one of the other options.
