    Microsoft account problem?

A popup appears (slides out like other 'official' notifications), and prompts to click on a link to fix it

    Windows 10 of course

Is the message prompted by any action you do (clicking on something?)

Doesn't look kosher to me ... what anti-malware software are you running?

Download and run Malwarebytes to start with.

EDIT : Right-click on the link, "Copy link address", and paste it in your reply to here.

Looks very suss, would never click on any link given.

Sign on in the normal way to the MS Account. I would check the Account settings as regards links, they have a tendency to link you to things you may not want when introducing yet another unwanted "feature".

I already turned off shared experience and the problem is still there, sad to learn that the only way is to use a local account since something is surely broken somewhere in windows

There's most likely nothing wrong with your Microsoft account.

This issue has been around since Shared Experiences was introduced in Windows 10. Usually the issue arises when you turn off sharing, and can occur even if you sign into Windows with a local account but use your Microsoft account to sign into apps.
