First of all, if the answer was obvious I wouldn't have posted a thread about it.
    Hey Pal,

There are people constantly posting here who don't know jack. That means they may not even bother to do an internet search. You made ZERO indication that you had. You made ZERO indications of what you had already tried.

I don't know you from shinola. I'm not going to keep a running list of users who seems to know their stuff and who doesn't. That's a bit egotistical to presume I or anyone should give a damn that way. So get prepared for future comments from me you may not like. Not because of vendetta but because, again, I don't keep a list of users here. By the end of today I won't even know which user handle you are.

I didn't provide that YouTube link as an endorsement of the advice. It was a link with a question mark. All the question mark meant was, "Have you tried this?" or "Does this work?". If I had known the actual answer I would have said as much without a question mark.

Don't project your frustration on folks trying to help.

OK, try this one instead. Easy ...

In this tutorial the uploader says to click on a drop menu under something that says "Require sign-in," and then click one of the options that the menu provides that says "Never." This thing that apparently says "Require sign-in" is nowhere to be found. What do I do now?

The indication that I made a search was the fact that I posted this thread at all, which I guess you failed to pay attention to. I'm not a caveman, if I want something fixed, I ask myself how hard it could possibly be and occasionally I'm surprised to find out (via thorough Google searches, not the back of a cereal box) it's a bit more complicated than it seems. I would just call the tech experts and hit up technical support but I don't think there is one, so they have you all doing their bidding here. For free, I might add. Also your decision to make or not make a list of people who are naughty or nice or whatever is your business, as all I'm trying to figure out is how to allow myself to sign in without a password or pin. I'm not sure how it's egotistical at all to assume you care about the craft you dedicate yourself to, and being what clearly states you to be someone with plenty of experience on this forum is your craft. Also I'm not sure why you'd think I'm unprepared to receive comments I don't like, maybe I because I mistook you for the one who sent me a Youtube video with a question mark? Whatever floats your boat then. I'm not sure why you would think I'm frustrated when you seem to be the only one who's lost here. That's saying something since I'm the OP, and yet I seem to know more than you. Thanks for being an egotistical and frustrated waste of my time.

Please tell me how and where you have "clearly demonstrated" that the netplwiz tool in tutorial I linked to does not work? Just for your information, it works absolutely flawlessly if done properly, exactly as told in tutorial.

You cannot remove password from a Microsoft account. Netplwiz tool is your only option.

I followed your instructions, properly, nothing changed and I reported it here. What more demonstration do you need? A FRAPS recording? I also mentioned that there does seem to be involvement with a Microsoft account. I'm not sure what kind of involvement I just know that it seems to be involved in the settings themselves. Do I have to remove the account? I'm not trying to change settings of a Microsoft account I don't even use, like I said I'm just trying to remove the need to type a password or pin when logging in.

Just to note, that netplwiz is only to automatically signed in to an account at startup.

Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup

You may also wish to turn off require sign in on wakeup.

Turn On or Off Require Sign-in on Wakeup in Windows 10
As stated, I tried both of these, and nothing happened. Specifically with the first option it seemed like nothing changed. The second one didn't work since there was nothing in sign-in options that said "Require sign-in" and also no drop down menu to be seen. All of this was mentioned already.

First, please check what demonstration means.

Second, if this is your computer, please contact professional help. If this is a computer of your friend or a family member, stay away from it to avoid causing any more harm.

Computing, computers and Windows are clearly beyond your abilities.

Please go ahead and post some screenshots showing what you are seeing instead to see if anything may stand out.

...and to the fullest of my ability, I demonstrated. You posted the thing so you should have it right in front of you so there's no confusion on what that means. This is my computer I don't know why you would think this is someone else's since I just bought it at best buy. What professional help do you mean, technical support? Maybe as a last resort assuming you're competent enough to be any more tech savvy than me. So far it doesn't even seem like you're socially savvy, given how many times you've asked the same question. I guess I'm fine with computing not being my forté if communication isn't yours. Maybe you should get a bell that rings for you like Tio from Breaking Bad.

No problem. It shows here that there's nothing that says "Require sign-in." Not sure why and apparently that makes me bad at computing according to some other idiot.

What are you even saying? If I posted a thread about a question, you should at least assume someone who is competent enough to write it is also competent enough to do the research as to avoid writing it. That's just facts and if you disagree then I guess you know Crazytown better than anyone on this thread.

This would be consistent to not have the "Require sign-in" setting available since you said you did not have a password for your local account.

What I would recommend to try is to add a password for your account.

Add Password to Local Account in Windows 10

Afterwards, see if you are able to set netplwiz to automatically signed in to an account at startup.

Sign in User Account Automatically at Windows 10 Startup

.... and see if are now able to turn off require sign in on wakeup.

I tried to add a local account but all three methods failed. The first one failed because I have different a different menu when I open sign-in settings, as stated earlier. The second one failed since control panel showed no other accounts, only the administrator. The third option failed because after punching in what you told me to write the terminal came back with:
System error 5 has occurred.Access is denied.

Please let me know what to do next.

Edit: I meant to say add password not add account.
