    Log in problem

    Hi

My 8 year old has locked himself out of his laptop because he likes messing with the username and password and now he can't remember the password.

I have reset the Microsoft password but the log in is not using the Microsoft password. I am unable to boot in safe mode as it asks for the log in password. I can't find a way around it.

Can anyone assist. How do I upload a screenshot on here?

    Thanks in advance

Don't you have your own administrator account on your 8 your old child's laptop computer?

Thanks, I've tried that and the option of booting to command prompt as I have no recovery drive but it just asks for a password no matter what I do.

So you'll need to create yourself a bootable disk. Click on the 2nd link in that text from the tutorial.

You can create a Win 10 bootable disk, or you could use Kyhi's very useful live boot disk, available from the top of the Software and Apps section here.

Boot your PC from one of those.

One way to create a bootable medium from an iso is in Option 2 here:
