    Change password

I have inadvertently set up my laptop to require a password when it wakes up. But I don't want that! I thought I knew how to change this (W key/netplwiz/ uncheck requirement box). I've done this but still have to use a password. I note that if I go through the process again the requirement box shows unchecked, but still have to use a password. What's gone wrong?

Hello cryptogram, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Netplwiz will only affect at startup, and not on wakeup. If you mistakenly entered the password incorrectly in netplwiz, it won't work. You might setup netplwiz again to see if that may be the case.

Nexy, double check using the tutorial below to turn off require sign-on on wakeup.
