Step 1 just opens a File Explorer Window to where the ISO file was saved. What you do with the ISO file after that is completely up to you.
Hi Navy. So you would open the file explorer window first and then go back to the Media Creation Tool window and Click on Finish?
Is it OK then to miss out 1.click on to open location (file explorer window) and instead just select 2. click on finish?..or is 1.Click on to open location a required step?
Is the instruction to open location (file explorer window) only really relevant if youre burning a DVD?
The reason Im curious to know the answer is in my case I'll just be downloading the ISO for later use not immediately after download. Later when Im ready the ISO will be mounted and all the files will be copied onto a USB flash drive. I wont be doing anything with it immediately

Yes, you can just click on finish. I never click on the first link to the ISO file.

I thought the first link would probably be optional but thought Id better check if it was important or not. Good to know. Once again many thanks for your patience and advice

Hi Shawn, Could I suggest right at the beginning it be made clear this does NOT cover the case where a user wishes to download an older build than the latest (noted there's a section on Insider builds which may differ- I've not really looked at that) and the title be amended accordingly?

I don't think there's one that covers e.g. the Heidoc iso downloader or other means.

    E.g.
    Windows 1909 ISO

    Thanks

    Hey mate,

Each option has the build and version number the ISO file will be for to help.
