See this post: Blank Windows 10 download pages?
That TechBench link seems to be back.
I get files with names like 'Win10_1511_2_EnglishInternational_x64.iso', and last time I tried (in May) it was 'Win10_1511_1_etc'
So maybe they updated the files with a last version of 1511 before 1607 comes out? Or maybe it's the same version as a few days ago and they just put the link back?
At times the only problem I run into at any of the download pages whether the regular MC tool or selection page or at the Tech Bench site is running into the cannot sign in in big letters page with the brief description of technical difficulties and try again later. Fortunately on all but one older build here while a pair of laptops still see 8.1 what will be downloaded soon won't be the TH2 update but the Redstone 1 anniversary update at the start of August.
As for the small updates whether or not you have the latest MC tool prior to the RS1 update soon to come or download the TH2 when first seen and perform a clean install now as cereberus points out all those small updates that saw the 10585 go from 122 to 318 or whatever it would be now all that won't matter much besides the list of those small updates coming at you initially since the RS 1 will be here soon enough.
Since the Redstone 1 is the major update that should be readily available in ISO form as well as by way of the updated MC tool when not expected to arrive as the update already having 10 running. Since a new build can cause problems at times for some when going on MS will have that available for immediate download either way.
Oh I saw the posts re the ISO not being available and thought maybe the upgrade might be put back further and I also thought 29th July was the cut off point??
No matter to me now as I have bought an OEM so that I don't have to lose my 7 Pro key.
The Redstone 1 Update is something totally separate from the wait seen with each newer Insider build. That's a general update for all while the Insider builds are still mainly developer builds thos in the WIPreview program run as well for a look at what else is new.
I think someone is getting confused by how the latest Insider build will see a wait until a newer one is out before MS posts the ISO downloads for it. They stay one build behind for each new build that comes out. In fact several builds were never even made available for direct downloads in between the TH2 and 14361 or 366 builds. It wasn't until later they started posting the ISOs.
Well I took advantage and later now seeing the prices for 10 not any big deal but a $20 Black Friday discount at Newegg to grab my own OEM for System Builders dvd in order to be able to continue running 10/7 dual boots.
For a friend who has my previous case with a different board after I moved everything into a preferred case I offered to set up 10 there for a look before him and his wife simply go over 8.1 on a pair of laptops or wait too long and end up needing to pay out for 10 anyways. So far nothing but stalling and they will lose out on the free upgrade offer soon enough!
Previous after I put the newer stuff in the older case he bought 7 Pro OEM for a good price but then decided to play around with different laptops and still never ran 7 following his old XP build crapping out on him 4yrs. back. As they often say "you can lead horses to water but not make them drink.".
