    Stopping/starting updates

Splendid little program out there called Stopupdates which turns them off or on. Seems bulletproof too.

^Thanks for the suggestion but it looks full of bloat and a bit fishy to me to be honest.

Ask an administrator to give you the access.

I can't find a post for that anywhere.

    Well, here it is again.

After installing Stopupdates.exe I ran Malwarebytes, Adwcleaner and Webroot to check it was clean. Also my Webroot Firewall showed no evidence of attempted internet contact + it's been here doing it's job perfectly for months. In fact it turned out it was responsible for my my first post here asking how to activate updates. I'd installed it when I loaded win 10 and forgot. Very embarrassing but it has shown how resilient it is.
Now very puzzled who and what #sadfacepalm19 was thanking?
