Thanks I got it done.
Thanks I got it done.
Such a little thing, but it's surprisingly comforting to see the seconds tick by - a visible reminder that all's well and the system is up and running. One of my favourite tips, thanks!
One curiosity I've noticed today (although to be fair it may have been like this from the day I added seconds to the display which was years ago) is this:
If you hover the cursor over the 'Shutdown' button the clock keeps running. Now move the cursor off the button and just click to cancel the Shutdown operation.
Now go back and do the same again and then this time the clock freezes as you hover over Shutdown. The display remains frozen until you cancel the menus at which point the clock jumps to the correct time.
Mooly,
I also set my computer to display seconds using this tutorial but I do not experience the freezing you describe.
Whenever I see symptoms of improper display behaviour I always wonder if reinstalling the display driver ought to be done - to counter the possibility that it has become corrupt in use.
Best of luck,
Denis
Thanks Dennis Given its an anomaly as much as anything at this point I'll probably hold off for now seeing as everything runs great... but it is very curious it doesn't seem to be afflicting others.
I can't actually believe I've never noticed it before and so wonder if a recent update has altered anything. It is just a minor anomaly though.
