So my bad. I ran the Disable "Get Windows 10" REG file download first time went thru this couple months back. So would that explain why it's going directly to WU?
Yes I hid the first (larger one) @ 2847.8 MB yesterday & the smaller one this morning.I see you’re on your hidden updates screen. Does “twice in the past two days” mean one came each day consecutively?
Just love his brainy quotes.I like your sig, BTW. He was a great man, bless his soul. :)

I will Enable_Get_Windows_10 & see if the GWX Icon appears.
thanks
Edit:
Well I certainly made that sound dumb. My thinking was to get the GWX Icon to reappear then hide it again. Won't matter tho since Windows 10 already made it's way to WU.I will Enable_Get_Windows_10 & see if the GWX Icon appears

If I apply the third option to Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.x, I avoid the automatic download of the upgrade to Windows 10? If not, how do I prevent this?
Thanks

Hello balubeto, :)
This tutorial is just for getting rid of the GWX "Get Windows 10" icon on the taskbar.
The tutorial below is for the "Upgrade to Windows 10" update instead.
