Mount or Unmount VHD or VHDX File in Windows 10

Odd. Did the VHD already exist and was mounted, or just created and mounted out of the blue?

Any software installed that could have created or mounted the VHD?

I suppose it could be encrypted if the VHD or drive/folder the VHD is on was encrypted.

just created and mounted out of the void

I recently was testing hyper-v , virtual box and vmware but I disabled hyper-v and I use vbox and vmware and I did not create any vhd.

Possibly something Virtual Box or vmware may have created. I don't use either one, so I can't verify.
