Pretty sure you can just delete everything and all the partitions from the USB stick... THEN make the Rescue Media.
Tried that, it's now 1 partition filling the entire flash drive, and formatted to exFAT. Macrium Rescue Media Builder still shows "Unsupported Disk" "GPT format is not supported".

Did you check the box at the bottom (far right), #3 in the make Rescue Media part of the quickie guide.

You could do this before you start...

Open an elevated command prompt by right-clicking Command Prompt and then choosing Run as Administrator.

    Type diskpart.
At the DISKPART prompt, type list disk. Note the disk number that you want to delete.
At the DISKPART prompt, type select disk <disknumber>.
At the DISKPART prompt, type clean.
At the DISKPART prompt, type convert mbr.

Not sure what guide you're referring to, but the Rescue Media Builder in Reflect v8 is basically one window, and looks different from the guide at the beginning of this thread. Looks like this:

    That worked, thanks.

The rescue media flash drive still isn't a listed boot option on another Win 10 machine, but that's a different problem that I'll start a new thread about.

When you use the Windows RE method, I believe it specific to the computer you make the Rescue Media... ON.

At the bottom of the Rescue Media builder, if you click on Advanced...
I chose the Windows 10 PE method, which also works on Windows 11.

If your two comps are wildly different, you may have to create Rescue Media for each one?

This is not the case. A winre version will work on other pcs on most cases.

My post overlapped but we both said same thing.

As an aside, if different pc needs a special driver e.g. optane driver, then Reflect from a different pc will probably not work without adding that driver to the Rescue USB. This is same for WinRe and WinPE.

So if any of your pcs has an optane or nvme drive, that is probably best one to create the Reflect USB on.

If drives are only SATA, the Rescue drive is usually quite interchangeable.

I actually create Rescue iso for each PC and store in onedrive.

That way if I run into rare case of Reflect not booting from my general usb drive if I have to boot from it (rather than using boit menu option), I know I can create a Rescue Drive specific to the pc I wish to boot from.

Yeah, I was just guessing. I've always used the Windows 10 PE bootable rescue media.
Thanks and all that, but maybe you guys should tell the person that asked the question... eh?
