Thanks very much for clarifying that. For the record, I did not set the DPI in the Registry; that entry must have been placed there by Windows during installation (I didn't even know how to do it until I saw the instructions in the TenForums tutorial). Since I did set the DPI in my first Win 10 installation (by moving the slider), perhaps the value was written to the Registry then.
After writing the last time, I read some more on this site and found the suggestion that using compatibility mode for individual applications might help display issues, and that worked with dBase. I am feeling somewhat more optimistic that I can stick with Win 10.
