Is there a reason for that rule? I think its a shame you cant pin on other displays.
Yea I noticed, to me it looks messy. The only way I can do it is with third party programs like DisplayFusion.
Hello @rboppy,
Just to verify, what does it show currently set for Project when you press Win+P?
If Extend, you should be able to change those settings in your screenshot. You may need to close and reopen Settings though.
Display Switch - Change Presentation Mode to Project in Windows 10
Hi Shawn et al,
I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd start here. My problem here is that the taskbar setting for multiple displays is greyed out. With that not an option, a search led me to your tutorial.
I added the registry changes you described above. DWORD MMTaskbarEnabled Value 1 and DWORD MMTaskbarMode Value 0. Restarted Windows Explorer. No change. Taskbar is still only on Main Display. Taskbar Settings still shows those options greyed out. Signing out and back in, no change. Restart, no change.
There must be another registry setting disabling those options but I have no clue which one(s) it would be.
The machine is HP Z2 SFF G4 workstation running Win 10 Pro Version 1909 OS build 18363.592. It is on a Windows Server 2012 AD domain (No Azure involved).
I have Win 8.1 Pro machines on the same domain running multiple displays, with no greyed out Multi Monitor settings and taskbar on all monitors. So it seems my problem is specific to Win 10.
Funny thing is I have a similar HP machine, Z240 SFF. Not identical but similar. Not on a domain, running Win 10 Pro v1909. I have three monitors with Taskbars on each. I'm finding it hard to believe it's a hardware issue so I'm back to Win 10
So I don't have a clue why MM taskbar settings are greyed out for this particular machine. Never seen it before. I'm hoping you have seen it and can point me in the right direction.
If I need to start a new topic with this issue, let me know and I'll do so.

Hello Jackrabbit13, and welcome to Ten Forums.
Since you say the settings are grayed out, it makes be think that the group policy in the tutorial below has been configured to disable it.
Enable or Disable Show Taskbar on All Displays in Windows 10
Since you are joined to a domain, it is possible the domain administrator may have configured the group policy instead. If so, you won't be able to change it on your local computer.
Hi Brink and thanks for the speedy reply.
I'm that guy as well. Let me explore this avenue and thank you. I actually remoted into those 8.1 machines and the setting is grayed out there as well. So I gave you some bad info, I apologize.
I don't set group policy on local machines so it will have to be at the domain level on the server. Although I can't imagine why I would set that policy so maybe it was a wild click in the middle of the night setting up the server four or so years ago?? I guess I'll find out soon enough.
Yes, that policy is enabled in the Default Domain Policy, but I don't know why. I went through all the policies and specifically remember why I set most of the policies. I also see in Details that the policy was created on 7/26/2015, when I set it up. It also says it was modified on 6/11/19. I'll admit I could forget something I did 4.5 years ago, but I'm fairly sure that I'd remember something I did to a Default Domain Policy 6 months ago.
Is there a possibility this change was part of an update or patch for a vulnerability? 'Do not allow taskbars on more than one display' AND 'Prevent users from moving taskbar to another screen dock location' are enabled. I don't know why I would have enabled those......unless it happened in the middle of the night.
Thanks again and regards,
Jackrabbit13
