They still work (at least for me). There's just something on your system preventing it from working for you.

It changed the size of pinned items , when hovering with mouse ( the preview of an internet-site becomes bigger ) , but taskbar-icons/text did not change............

Increasing thumbnail-preview is a progress anyway !

Im afraid to use these solutions , coz they will change the complete UI ( desktop-icons, menus , etc )
Im happy with all these settings ( accept taskbar-icons/text ) , costed me a lot of time , dont want to spoil it.
Will try tomorrow in virtual machine and let you know..............

Had to make this reg-keys again , after upgrade to 11.............
